Mobile Library Service Stanton St Bernard

The Mobile Library visits Stanton St Bernard, every four weeks on a Thursday, 10.30 -11.15am

Mobile timetables can be viewed online at Stanton St Bernard, Village Hall – Wiltshire Council

Membership to Wiltshire Libraries is free and the mobile stocks a range of novels and information books for adults and children including large print and audio books. There is access to the whole county stock and items can be requested on the mobile or online and collected by customers from the mobile library. All children’s stock can be requested free of charge; there is a small fee for adult requests.

You can also use your membership card at any Wiltshire library and return books to the mobile library. It is free to join and there are no fines for overdue books borrowed from the mobile library.

It’s easy to join, just bring along proof of your name and address and the friendly Mobile Manager will sign you up straight away – they are always happy to help.

The mobile has full accessibility and is fitted with a customer lift.

Parish Church – Lent Activities

We are now into Lent. The Pewsey deanery has, like last year, come up with some great activities that can prompt us into a bit of self-reflection.

There are films being held on selected Mondays in Pewsey Methodist Church – the first on 11/3 at 19:00 “Babette’s Feast”, the Oscar winning Danish drama set in the 19th Century. On Wednesdays at 19:30 Gerald Osborne is talking about St Mark’s Gospel.

There are talks by ex CEOs and retired judges and a puppet show in Savernake.
